A-Vision - Project-based Learning Showcase 2018

The Project-based Learning (“PBL”) Showcase Day was successfully held on July 7, 2018. The key objectives are to enhance our students’ inquisitive mind and generic skills as well as their application of inter-disciplinary knowledge. The theme of PBL 2018 is “A-Vision”. Global problems such as pollution, climate change, ageing population, obesity and cultural inheritance are becoming more serious and affecting our daily lives. With A-Vision, students devised unique solutions through local or overseas excursions to solve the phenomenal problems that we are facing every day in order to make our world a better place to live.

On the PBL Showcase Day, the school campus was filled with fun and a lively atmosphere. Booths were set up in school hall, indoor gymnasium and various classrooms. The visitors were impressed by the excellent works and presentations done by our students. It was our honour to have Miss Chan Yuen Man, Amy, JP, District Officer (Sha Tin) to be our Guest of Honour in the Prize Presentation Ceremony. She gave us a very inspiring and meaningful speech, and presented prizes to the winners.

Every year, our students carry out one-month project-based learning after Term 2, during which they are engaged in either overseas or local project-based research on authentic issues. Students are required to work in groups and share their research findings and artifacts with others in a creative way on the carnival-like PBL Showcase Day.
