A-School students advanced to the finale of the World Scholar's Cup

Our Centre of Gifted Education sent six G7 students to compete in the World Scholar's Cup - Global Round competition held in August in Australia. The students formed two teams and both successfully advanced to the finale - Tournament of Championships with superior performance, in total receiving 11 gold and 15 silver medals at one of the three Global Round 2018 qualifying events held in Kuala Lumpur, Barcelona, and Melbourne. They are among the 30, 000 highest-achieving scholars who participated in 120 regional events across six continents, during which they explored subjects from Science, Humanities, History, Arts & Music, Social Studies and Literature and competed in a series of rigorous academic challenges.

The two teams will accept the qualified invitation and attend the Tournament of Championships at Yale University in coming November to be hosted by the Yale International Relations Association (YIRA), whose mission is to promote global understanding and citizenship. With our continuous effort in nurturing our students, we are sure that the two teams will continue to demonstrate the qualities of future scholars and leaders of the global community.
