Tai O Stories: Grade 3’s Cultural Day Out

It was a brilliant day for Play Day, when our students had their long-awaited trip to Tai O! Our young adventurers set off full of excitement and began the outing right in the fishing village, where clear skies and a gentle sea breeze turned the whole morning into pure enjoyment. Stepping onto the waterfront, they broke into grins at the stilt houses over the creek, the boats by the piers, and sunlight on the water. 🚤

The sun stayed bright as they walked the lanes, stopped at Sun Ki Bridge, and looked around Yim Tin and the old temples. Along the way they picked up simple stories of fisherfolk life. The highlight came at the salted egg yolk workshop: sleeves rolled up, voices bright, and classmates working together on a traditional snack. Between the walking, the making, and the laughter, they played hard and learned just as happily, far from their usual desks.🧺

A sunny village, a hands-on workshop, and a crowd of smiling faces. Tai O gave them a day of fun and discovery they will talk about for a long time. 🌟
