Overview

Our curriculum strives to build strong mathematical knowledge and essential problem-solving skills while providing alternative study pathways to meet diverse student needs. Under the Integrated Mathematics Curriculum in Grade 10, alongside studying the HKDSE Mathematics Compulsory Part, students can join the IGCSE Mathematics and IGCSE Additional Mathematics top-up programmes. This pathway prepares students to advance into the International Advanced Level (IAL) Mathematics and Further Mathematics curricula in Grades 11 to 12.

Curriculum Goals

  • Build strong mathematical knowledge and essential problem-solving skills in every student.
  • Foster a culture of high expectations and equitable access to alternative international study pathways to ensure meaningful learning experiences.
  • Continuously monitor student progress and refine instructional strategies to meet diverse needs and maximize learning outcomes.
  • Provide structured top-up programmes in Grade 10 to bridge foundational concepts and prepare students for advanced study in International A-Level Mathematics in Grades 11 to 12.

Key Skills Developed

  • Foundational Bridging & Conceptual Fluency (Grade 10 Top-up): Mastering core algebraic and geometric problem-solving through IGCSE Mathematics (0580) and Additional Mathematics (0606) to ensure a confident transition into the international track.
  • Advanced Analytical Reasoning (International A-Level Mathematics): Developing robust logical deduction and applied problem-solving skills by building a comprehensive foundation across Pure Mathematics (1–4), Statistics 1, and Mechanics 1.
  • High-Level Abstract Modelling (International A-Level Further Mathematics): Cultivating elite-level mathematical reasoning required for rigorous STEM-related university degrees. Students synthesise complex theories by tackling Further Pure Mathematics (1–3), Statistics 2, and Mechanics (2–3).
  • Academic Resilience & Strategic Progression: Fostering adaptable learning strategies and self-management skills as students progress through structured pathways from Grade 10 to Grade 12, supported by continuous monitoring and refined instruction to maximise outcomes.
