A-School offers the international curriculum, GCE Advanced Level (GCE AL/IAL), at Grades 11 and 12. GCE AL is a widely recognised international qualification, taken in over 125 countries, and is accepted as proof of academic ability for entry to universities worldwide. The syllabuses develop a deep subject understanding and independent thinking skills. All the GCE AL subjects offered are administered by either University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) or London Examinations (Edexcel).

GCE A-Level Curriculum Structure

The curriculum takes two years to complete. Students normally take four AS-level papers in Grade 11 and continue with three or four A-level papers in Grade 12. Students are also required to study the school-based English Language and Chinese Language curricula, designed with reference to the IELTS and GCE A Level Chinese Language frameworks, respectively.

We offer a comprehensive curriculum, supported by academic coaching, to prepare students for admission to the world’s top universities. In addition to core subjects and other learning experiences, students typically study 3 to 4 A-level subjects to meet university admission requirements.
