Master Class by Professor Norbert Brandauer

Our choir teams have made significant achievements in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and other competitions in recent years. In order to provide them with an opportunity to learn valuable techniques from a virtuoso of the choir world, Professor Norbert Brandauer, an acclaimed choirmaster, was invited to A-School to conduct a master class for our choir teams.

Professor Brandauer has been teaching at the Salzburg Pedagogical Institute of the Mozarteum University and the University of Vienna, and serving as director or conductor in a number of well-known choirs over Europe.
The Choir of Secondary Division won the Championship in the Vocal Group Secondary Level at the 6th Hong Kong International Music Festival Grandmaster Cup Competition on May 1, 2019.

During the class, students learnt top-level singing techniques and knowledge of breath, which has sharpened their skills for choir performance. They were also inspired by the professor’s music life journey.
