Student-led Conference

Student-led Conference (SLC) is a conference with parents and teachers led by students.  Students lead parents through a discussion of their work and established academic and personal goals. The scheme aims to develop a sense of achievement and enhance the parent-child and teacher-student relationships, which is in response to the positive accomplishment and positive relationship domains respectively in Positive Education. Through the process, students learn to understand their strengths and weaknesses and set goals to improve their academics and character. By sharing their difficulties and how they overcome them in their studies, students are expected to develop a growth mindset. Parents and teachers may have a chance to better understand students, thus fostering the development of closer parent-child and teacher-student bonding. Through this scheme, parents and teachers have an additional platform to show their appreciation to students for their effort devoted to their studies.
