Curriculum Objectives
- To enable students to build the Mathematics knowledge and reinforce their generic skills, including numeracy, problem solving, communication, collaboration and reasoning.
- To build a culture of success, ensure high expectations and access to meaningful mathematics learning for all students.
- To ensure timely and accurate monitoring of students’ learning and fine-tune teaching strategies for improving students’ learning.
- To ensure effective teaching and learning by understanding students’ needs and employ various and necessary teaching strategies.
Curriculum Framework
Junior Grade Mathematics Curriculum
The G7 – 9 Mathematics curriculum is designed based on the syllabus recommended by Education Bureau, and aims to enhance students’ numeracy and problem solving skills in three dimensions as follows:
Senior Grade Mathematics Curriculum
In Grade10, all students will study the Mathematics Compulsory Part under the HKDSE curriculum. For more capable students, they can choose to study the Extended Part (Module 1 or Module 2) depending on their interest and ability. Our school also provides alternative study pathways for students to choose from. Students can join the IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics top-up program in Grade 10, and study A-Level Mathematics in Grades 11 – 12.
