Moral and Civic Development
Moral and civic education have always been an important part of the holistic development of students. The school's Moral and Civic Education Team has been dedicated to cultivating students' positive values and attitudes towards the country, family, life, and learning.
Through promoting moral and civic education, we aim to cultivate ten primary values and attitudes in students, including perseverance, respect, sense of responsibility, national identity, sense of commitment, integrity, care, law-abiding, empathy, and diligence.
1. A-Assembly values sharing
To further nurture students' moral values, the team initiated a "What Would You Do" (WWYD) series designed to engage students in critical discussions surrounding ethical dilemmas. This series aims to present real-life incidents during the A-Assembly, encouraging students to reflect on their values and consider appropriate actions in response to the scenarios presented.
2. Sex education
To instill core values, the school used real-life examples in assemblies for mass education. All 13 values will be systematically integrated into assembly sessions, with teachers and students invited to deliver presentations. Additionally, topics such as sex education, law-abidingness, media literacy, and anti-drug education will be covered during Other Learning Experiences (OLE) sharing sessions.
3. Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration
On September 17, 2024, the Moral & Civic Education (MCE) team collaborated with the Chinese Key Learning Area (KLA) to organize a comprehensive celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. This event not only highlighted the rich history and significance of the festival but also deepened students' understanding of Chinese culture and values. Through engaging activities, students explored traditional customs, such as mooncake making and lantern crafting, while learning about the legends associated with the festival. This initiative fostered a greater appreciation for cultural heritage and encouraged students to reflect on the values of family reunion and gratitude that are central to the celebration.
4. Embracing Cultural Diversity
From October 21 to October 25, 2024, the MCE team partnered with the English KLA to promote cultural diversity within the school community. This collaborative initiative incorporated the Percci values—perseverance, empathy, respect, cooperation, creativity, and integrity—into a series of activities designed to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures represented in our student body. Through workshops, presentations, and interactive sessions, students were encouraged to share their cultural backgrounds and learn about the traditions and customs of their peers. This initiative not only enriched students' cultural awareness but also fostered an inclusive environment that values diversity and mutual respect.

5. Beef-up collaborative spirit by Athletic Meet
In a bid to inspire students and promote the Olympic spirit, the MCE team created an engaging board display dedicated to the upcoming Olympic Games. Students were invited to contribute by writing encouraging messages for Olympic athletes, fostering a sense of unity and support for those competing at the highest level. This initiative not only celebrated athletic achievement but also instilled values of determination, perseverance, and fair play in our students. The display served as a visual reminder of the importance of sportsmanship and the collective spirit of encouragement that the Olympics represent. Through these initiatives, the Moral & Civic Education team continues to foster a culture of respect, understanding, and active citizenship among students, preparing them to be responsible and engaged members of society.

Life Education
In the past year, the Life Education Team has organized numerous memorable activities aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of life and fostering positive values. These activities include the cross-grade program, regular deep thought sessions, alumni sharing, and the whole school event–HOT DOG Day. Covering various fields, these activities not only enriched students’ lives but also inspired them to exert a positive influence in their studies and daily lives.
1. Cross-Grade Program (G7, G9, G11) - OLE Time
On October 4, 2024, Life Education hosted a special program featuring talented young artists from Emperor Entertainment Group, including Gin Lee, Andy Lai, Arvin Tsang, and the girl group VIVA. The event was designed to support students' emotional well-being through a music concert that combined performance with interactive activities.
The program commenced with emotional testing games that allowed singers to engage directly with students, followed by discussions on coping with stress. The artists shared their personal experiences and offered encouragement, inspiring students to persevere in their dreams. The concert created a lively atmosphere, with students interacting with the performers, taking photos, and enjoying uplifting music.
2. Regular Deep Thought Sessions
This year, the traditional deep thought sessions were enhanced with new elements to engage the entire school. Different theme songs were introduced before and after each sharing by school management, the Christian team, guidance team, and teaching staff. This refreshed approach has garnered positive feedback from both students and teachers, making the sessions more dynamic and appealing.
3. Alumni Sharing
On September 29, 2023, three alumni—Chan Sum Nga Summer, Tang Hiu Ki Kate, and Lam Ka No—were invited to share their life and work experiences with Grade 10 and 11 students. This session aligned with the yearly theme of Sustainable Development (SD) and the My Pledge to Act (MPA) initiative. Students reported feeling inspired to pursue their goals and set risks, finding the sharing valuable for their personal development. They learned about positive values and character strengths, including courage, perseverance, commitment, integrity, gratitude, and optimism, which reinforced their appreciation for what they have.
4. Whole school event - HOT DOG Day
On February 26, the life education team hosted a school-wide event to promote the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD) during lunch recess, branded as "HOT DOG," which stands for "Hit Out The Discrimination Of our Generation."
