Big Brother Big Sister Mentorship Programme

News date

Within the model of positive education, encouraging A-School students develop strong and nourishing relationships is a priority in helping them thrive and flourish. Therefore, we provide the mentorship programme which aimed to cultivate the caring culture and foster positive students relationships. Grade 5 and 6 students are invited to participate in this meaningful programme to act as mentors for the little Grade 1 and 2 students respectively. Through the activities, the big brothers and sisters develop their social intelligence on the one hand while helping the little ones adapt to the school life on the other.

Both G5-G1 and G6-G2 met for the first time at the beginning of the school day on September 23 and 29 accordingly. The meetings made our classroom a lively environment and filled with the echoes of laughter and smiles.

We can tell from these pictures that they had a pleasant time in the meetings, which illustrated “Friendship multiplies joy and divides grief”, a quote by the famous British scholar and preacher Thomas Fuller. Students are truly looking forward to having another gathering soon!
