Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition (Primary Section) Round 2 Win

In an impressive display of rhetoric and critical thinking, our students won the round 2 match of Hong Kong Secondary School Debating Competition (Primary Section)

The team, composed of Richie Tang (6E), Jigten Cholon (6D) and Ernest Yeung (6E), faced off against students from Yaumati Catholic Primary School on the motion “The House Believes That Governments Should Intervene to Stop Gentrification of Poor Communities”.

The team’s victory was confirmed after a nail-biting deliberation by the adjudicators, who praised the team for their smooth delivery of the speech, clarity of their arguments, firm rebuttals and their calm under pressure. Ernest Yeung (6E) was even awarded the best debater of the evening for his excellent presentation.
