Language Week: Third Language Activities

News date

Our Language Week activities have started with a bangl! This year, we are celebrating the diversity of languages and cultures with a special theme: "Fiesta of Festivals." The Third Language teams held activities on Monday and Tuesday, during the lunch recess and both days saw high participation from students.

Here's a glimpse of the exciting activities that students could participate in.

Fiesta of Festivals: The chosen festivals for this year's celebration are La Tomatina, Oktoberfest, Setsubun, and Epiphanie. Each festival represents a unique cultural experience. Through interactive sessions, students could gain insights into these festivals and their significance.

At the French booth, students could enjoy a delightful food tasting experience with baguettes and Epiphany cake. Additionally, there was a fun French vocabulary Kahoot game where participants could test their language skills and win exciting prizes.

The Japanese booth featured the traditional Mame Maki Game, where students could try their hand at bean-throwing for good luck. A display of a beautiful kimono was showcased, providing a glimpse into the rich Japanese culture.

The German booth offered an engaging map puzzle and various games. We are honored and delighted that the German consulate could join us on Tuesday to provide additional fun German activities, puzzles, and games.

The Spanish booth focused on La Tomatina, a famous Spanish festival. Students couldparticipate in vocabulary games related to this festival, enhancing their Spanish language skills while having a great time.

Throughout Language Week, students will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of vocabulary related to these festivals and win fantastic prizes for their effort and active participation.

We encourage all students to embrace this multicultural experience, celebrate diversity, and broaden their knowledge of different languages and cultures. Language Week promises to be an exciting and enriching event for everyone involved.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to a fantastic Language Week celebration!
