Our Fifth Graders' Singapore Excursion

News date

Our fifth graders just got back from an amazing school excursion to Singapore filled with lots of learning and experiences.

Our focus for the trip was on city planning and multiculturalism, and we visited so many incredible places, including Marina Barrage, Gardens by the Bay, Merlion, the NEWater technology plant, and City Gallery. It was amazing to see the development over the years, and the attention to detail in everything from the architecture to the landscaping was truly impressive.

But what really stood out for us was the multicultural aspect of Singapore. We visited Little India, Sultan Mosque, and Chinatown, and it was amazing to see how these different communities coexist and thrive in the city. Our students learned to really appreciate the value of diversity and how much we can learn from each other.

One of the highlights of the trip for us was visiting the NEWater technology plant. We learned about the process of turning wastewater into drinking water, and it was fascinating to see how Singapore is using innovative solutions to tackle the issue of water scarcity.

Overall, this trip was an unforgettable experience and we learned so much about city planning, multiculturalism, and the incredible things that are possible when we work together towards a common goal.
