Excellent Performance at CUHKMUN 2023

News date

Ten of our students from Excel 33 - World Vision Strand participated in the CUHK Model United Nations (MUN) conference on 7-9 April and achieved outstanding results!

They represented our school with poise, professionalism, and exceptional diplomatic skills. In addition to demonstrating their knowledge and critical thinking by addressing complex global issues, they also displayed excellent public speaking and debate skills, impressing both the judges and their fellow delegates.

As a testament to their hard work, six of them, out of nearly 200 participants, received different awards, which were only given to a limited number of participants with exceptional performances: 8C Poon Ching and 8C Tsui Lok Yin Michael won the Best Position Paper Award and Outstanding Delegate Award in the World Health Organization Council, representing Spain, while 8B Wong Lai Ying Nicole and 10B Tang Hau In won the Outstanding Delegate Award in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs Council, representing Norway, with 9E Chan Hillary Hey Yin and 9E Cheng Tsz Yin Nicole winning the Most Improved Delegate Award in the same council, representing Greece.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance, especially considering the fact that eight of them were MUN debutantes. Their success is a testament to the excellent education they receive at our school. We look forward to seeing more success from them in the future!
