News date

97 students from G7 to G9 participated in the TOEFL Junior Test in the 2017-18 school year scored exceptional results. 83% of our junior secondary students attained Score Level 4 or above, with 60% of candidates reaching the highest Score Level 5. Among all, 14 students attained 890 of 900 in the test, of which 12 students from G7 and G8 obtained full mark (900), notably 10 of them joined A-School since G1 and the rest since G7.

The remarkable results are the fruition of our language policy. We adopt English as the medium of instruction of most subjects while Putonghua is the main medium of instruction of Chinese Language. We always encourage students to express themselves in English and Putonghua inside and outside classrooms. To gain recognition of language proficiency, we provide students with ample opportunities to take part in international assessments like TOEFL, IELTS and IGCSE for English and GAPSK for Putonghua.

TOEFL Junior test intends to measure the Reading Comprehension, Listening Comprehension and Language Form and Meaning of children aged 11 or above. Congratulations to the students who made the outstanding achievement in the Test.
