Chinese Cultural Day 2019

The annual Chinese Cultural Day took place on February 1, 2019. Chief Principal Dr. Benjamin Chan, Chairman & CEO of Nameson Group Limited Mr. Wong Ting Chung BBS, JP and PTA Chairman Dr. David Wong and other guests kicked off the celebration by dotting the eyes of the lions before an energetic Lion Dance. Then came the traditional repertoire “Prince of Qin Takes His Roll Call” by the Chinese Drum team that fully demonstrated their delicate percussion skills with uniformity and rhythmic precision. The festivity was wrapped by a dance act with little flower drums by the lovely PS Chinese Dance Team. Afterwards, SS students proceeded to the hall to enjoy the cultural show. The dough figurine maker amazed our students and teachers with creativity to turn dough into lifelike figurines. At the same time, the PS students experienced the Chinese traditional culture by making Lunar New Year handcrafts in their homerooms. The booth activities in PS and SS atriums pushed the atmosphere of Chinese Cultural Day to the climax. Students and teachers enjoyed the games and delicious Chinese traditional foods arranged by Student Union, Chambers, PTA, etc. At last, students took part in the cleaning of the campus campaign to usher us to the Year of the Pig.
