Joshua Hall Opening Ceremony

News date

The Opening Ceremony of Joshua Hall was held on January 22, 2021. It is our pleasure to have Mr. Raymond Kwok, the representative of the Kwok Chung Bo Fun Charitable Fund, to be our guest of honour for the ceremony. With devoted spirits in pursuit of Christian faith, hope and love, Kwok Chung Bo Fun Charitable Fund has been supportive to A-School’s development especially in enhancing our school facilities that not only meet but exceed prevailing standards. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for their generosity and goodwill.

Joshua Hall was named after a spiritual leader “Joshua” from the Bible, bearing a message from Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” This is also the message that our Chief Principal Dr. Benjamin Chan and Pastor Chan from City One Baptist Church would like to deliver to our students.  The elegantly-designed Joshua Hall provides multi-purpose activity space with enclosable glass doors, air-conditioning units and a billboard-size LED screen which allow year-round comfort for students, teachers and parents alike to engage in a variety of activities such as school team training, seminars and solemn Christian congregation, etc.

Graduates from the school year 2019/2020 with outstanding academic performance were invited to the award presentation of the Dr. KK Wong Scholarship for Excellence in Further Studies 2020. The student representative gave a vote of thanks to both Ir Dr. KK Wong, SBS, JP and Mr. Raymond Kwok for their continuous support.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was followed by a fencing demonstration by our Secondary Division’s fencing team. At the same time, the swimming pool project was kicked off after endorsement by the School Management Committee. Pre-construction preparatory work is underway.  After a few years, a 4-lane elevated swimming pool will come into operation. Our endeavor in providing quality learning environment for students’ all-round development never changed. Let us look forward to the brand new learning experience in A-School!
