📚 "Classic Books" Reading Day – A Huge Success!

In December 2025, we kicked off a series of reading activities,  including various creative competitions and the “Battle of the Books” to promote reading. Through these activities, 72 wonderful books (both in Chinese and English) were introduced to all students across the school! One exciting event after another followed, building up the momentum until today – a true celebration of reading that the whole school enjoyed together!
Today, our school held its annual Reading Day, and what an incredible celebration of classic reading it was! Students, teachers, and parents came together to explore over 30 classic works of literature through a wide range of creative and engaging activities.
What we offered:
🎬 AI-themed Animation – Students watched an AI-generated animation created by Ms. Elva and students, they brought classic story scenes to life.
🖌️ AI Reading Card Design Competition – Using AI tools, students and parents designed over 200 reading cards inspired by classic literature.
📖 Ex-Libris Sharing – Students shared their bookplate designs and talked about the activities they have experienced so far.
👗 Catwalk Show – Students, parents and teachers dressed up as classic literary characters and walked the stage with confidence and creativity.
⚔️ Battle of the Books – Classes competed in a lively quiz to test their knowledge of specially selected books.
🎤 Author Talks – 3 speakers were invited to share insights about writing, the magic of classic literature and values education.
🏆 Prize Presentation – Outstanding students and parents were recognized for their active participation and reading achievements.
🎭 Drama Show – The "The Paper Bag Princess" presented by Postmodern Playpen performed a wonderful play adapted from classic Robert Munsch book. The play brought the written words to life in a lively and exciting way! 
🎮 Game Booths – 24 fun, book-themed games allowed students to learn about classic stories in a playful way.
The results? 
Our students were not only entertained, but deeply engaged in all activities. Through these diverse range of activities, students discovered the joy of reading classic books, expressed their creativity with AI tools, built confidence on the stage, and shared joyous moments with parents and peers. It was wonderful to see how every participant found something different to spark their curiosity and love for literature.
