International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) Achievements
Each year, thousands of school children sit for the ICAS assessments which are world-class assessments designed to recognize and award academic excellence in the fields of English, Science and Mathematics. The top 1% are awarded High Distinction while the top scorer for the grade in the whole of HK and Macau region is awarded a prestigious medal.
In 2022, our school garnered remarkable success, with multiple high distinctions in English, Maths, and Science. We are incredibly proud to recognize the exceptional accomplishments of our five medal winners, who achieved the highest scores in the Hong Kong and Macau region. Let's give a big round of applause to Cheung Chup Shun, Chan Chung Hei, Fu Ching Yee, Zhang Shun, and Wong Chaak Sin, Jethro! Cheung Chup Shun and Fu Ching Yee secured the medals in Science, while Chan Chung Hei and Zhang Shun achieved the medals in Mathematics. Additionally, a special mention goes to Wong Chaak Sin, Jethro, who earned the English medal.
Fast forward to 2023, and the success continues with four medalists! We extend our warmest congratulations to Mok Hing Yu and Wang Shun Yiu for their remarkable achievement in winning the Mathematics medal. Their dedication and hard work have truly paid off! We would also like to commend Zhang Long Yui for securing the Science medal, showcasing excellence in the field of scientific knowledge.
But the celebration doesn't end there! Let's give an extra special shout-out to Emma, Mok Hing Yu for also clinching the English writing award. What an incredible feat for a third grader to be the highest ranked in both, English and Mathematics, in the whole of Hong Kong and Macau! Well done, Emma!
The winners all credit their success to perseverance as well as the curriculum and teaching in A-school that fosters motivation, excellence, and a love for learning. Once again, congratulations to all the medal winners and award recipients. We look forward to more such achievements in 2024!
