Visit by Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education of Ministry Education

Arranged by the Hong Kong Education Bureau, a delegation of the Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education of Ministry of Education paid a visit to A-School to learn about the development of dance education in Hong Kong on March 23, 2019.  The four-member delegation including the Vice Minister of Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education, Vice Director of Art and National Defense Education of Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education, Vice Director of Suzhou Education Bureau and Head of Department of Physical, and Health and Arts Education of Suzhou Education Bureau, together with the representatives of Hong Kong Education Bureau Physical Education Section were well received by the school management and aesthetic education teachers.   During the visit, they were briefed on the development of Chinese dance and physical education of the School.

The delegation enjoyed the wonderful performance staged by the Senior and Junior Chinese Dance Teams of the Primary Division. The former danced cheerfully with the little flower drums to show the childlike innocence and the joy of traditional festivals, while the latter depicted the happiness of girls while plucking mulberry leaves and raising silkworms.  Our Senior Team, Junior Teams, Trio Dance Team and Solo Dance performed superbly in the 55th School Dance Festival this year and received the Honour Award in the three categories. With the distinguished results, A-School was crowned the Overall Champion of the Chinese Dance in the Primary Section.

A campus tour was arranged for the guests during which they met members of the sports teams in training session.  Accompanied by the Chinese Dance Team, the guests were introduced the learning facilities, such as Library, Digital Learning Corridor etc. The 21st Century Classroom to helped them understand the application of e-learning in an innovative way to enhance learning and teaching. The guests were deeply impressed by the work of A-School in cultivating students, the passion for learning of students and the support from parents.
