Today (8 August 2026), our team didn’t just reach the Grand Finals—we CONQUERED THEM, right inside the High Court of Hong Kong!

After an incredible journey through the competition, our debaters saved their BEST for the very last stage:

GRAND FINALS: VICTORY against DBS!

Semi-finals: Beat St Paul’s College

Quarter-finals: Beat HK Munsang College

Preliminary: Beat Maryknoll Convent School

The judges were absolutely captivated, praising the young debaters for their flawless fluency in English, meticulous research, rock-solid preparation, commanding poise, and razor-sharp articulation. They even said our students have exceptional potential for future careers in law—and after today’s performance in that hallowed courtroom, we couldn’t agree more!

Our champion debaters who sealed the win:

Grade 10 Lau Ka Ki Sophia (Captain) – Commanded the courtroom like a true leader!

Grade 10 Chan Ho Him – Firm, precise, and devastatingly persuasive!

Grade 8 Yeung Ernest – Articulate beyond his years!

Today’s Grand Final motion: “The House Supports a Fused Legal Profession in Hong Kong.” – We owned it as the Affirmative side.

ERNEST YEUNG—OUR G8 PHENOM—STOOD TALL AGAINST SENIORS FROM BOTH SCHOOLS IN THAT HALLOWED COURTROOM AND SWEPT THE BEST DEBATER AWARD!

We are bursting with pride—and we owe this historic victory to:

· Mr. Jeff Chong, Associate Vice Principal — who sacrificed his summer holidays to train and elevate our team, building a legacy of excellence with four Sing Tao championships.

· Clement Kwok, distinguished alumnus — two-time Sing Tao champion, UCL Law graduate, now practising at a premier global law firm, returning to the High Court to support us. That’s HKBUAS legacy in motion.

· Our incredible parents and students — whose silent cheers echoed in our hearts.
