Croucher Science Week is an exciting and engaging festival aimed at bringing the wonders of science to the young people of Hong Kong. Our school recently participated in their school tour on 10th April, focusing on the captivating theme of "Science of Sport." During the tour, our enthusiastic Grade 6 students had the opportunity to delve into the scientific principles behind various sports phenomena.

Led by the renowned presenter David Price, whose expertise lies in developing and popularizing science busking techniques, the interactive event proved to be an unforgettable experience for our students. David's exceptional skills in science communication earned him the prestigious UK national Josh Award for science communicators.

Throughout the tour, our Grade 6 students were captivated by David's humorous and interactive approach to teaching the science of sport. They eagerly explored concepts such as reaction times, center of mass, and spinning, gaining a deeper understanding of how these scientific principles impact athletic performance.

David's ability to seamlessly blend entertainment and education left a lasting impression on our students. They were not only engaged but also thoroughly enjoyed the unique and entertaining methods used to learn about the science behind sports.

Overall, our participation in the Croucher Science Week school tour was an enriching experience that brought science to life for our Grade 6 students. It ignited their curiosity, fostered a love for scientific exploration, and showcased the endless possibilities that science holds in the world of sports.
