The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) Gamma-Go Award Scheme 2022 Award Presentation Ceremony

After participation in the School Community Ambient Radiation Measurement Pilot Program (SCARMP) and its Gamma-Go Workshop organized by the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) with the support of the Education Bureau in the academic year 2021-22, our student research team members, 9A TSUI Ho Yin Matthew, 9A CHEUNG Ho Lam and 9A LIU Tsz Hing Ana, joined the HKO Gamma-Go Award Scheme 2022 and won the Merit Award in the academic year 2022-23.

10D LIU Tsz Hing Ana representing the student research team attended the Award Presentation Ceremony at the Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters on Dec 3, 2022. Our team designed the implementation plans by themselves and conducted field surveys and radiation measurements over 18 different regions of Hong Kong during the summer holiday. They analyzed the variations in radiation levels under different environmental and weather conditions and prepared research reports.
